What does a pool cost by type in Jacksonville?
Pool type is the first fork in the budget. Gunite costs more to build but can take almost any shape, depth, or add-on. Fiberglass costs less and goes in faster but comes in fixed shell sizes.
We do not build vinyl liner pools. The liner needs replacement roughly every 8 to 12 years, Florida sun and pool chemistry shorten that window further, and most Jacksonville-area buyers and HOAs favor concrete or fiberglass at resale.
| Pool type | Typical installed range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Fiberglass | $55,000 to $95,000 base; $95,000 to $140,000 with upgrades | Fastest install, fixed shell sizes, light shell needs float protection |
| Gunite / concrete | $65,000 to $110,000 base; $110,000 to $180,000+ with spa and upgrades | Any shape or depth, longest build time, most common finish and tile options |
| Vinyl liner | Not offered | Liner replacement every 8 to 12 years, sun and pH wear, limited resale appeal locally |
