Where we work

Pool service areas across Jacksonville and the First Coast

Four counties and several separate city building departments. Which desk your pool permit lands on changes the paperwork, the review time, and sometimes the engineering. Pick your area to see what applies.

Duval County

Pools in Duval County

Jacksonville is a consolidated city and county, so most Duval permits go through the City of Jacksonville Building Inspection Division. Jacksonville Beach, Atlantic Beach, and Neptune Beach each run their own building department, so a pool three blocks apart can be permitted by two different offices.

St. Johns County

Pools in St. Johns County

St. Johns County Building Services handles Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, St. Johns, Julington Creek, and the unincorporated areas around St. Augustine. Almost every subdivision here also has an architectural review committee that has to approve the pool, the deck, and the cage before the permit goes in.

Clay County

Pools in Clay County

Clay County Building Division covers Fleming Island, Middleburg, and the large unincorporated area that carries an Orange Park mailing address. The Town of Orange Park itself has its own building department, so the first question is always which side of the town line you are on.

Nassau County

Pools in Nassau County

Nassau County Building Department covers Yulee and the unincorporated parts of Amelia Island. Inside Fernandina Beach city limits, the City of Fernandina Beach Building Department permits the work, and the downtown historic district adds design review on top.
